House Rules and Resources
Just a few things…
No Smoking or Vaping
Smoking and vaping is not permitted inside Strawberry Haus. If you must smoke, please do so outside of the property along the walkway in front of the house and ensure all cigarette butts are disposed of appropriately. Failure to do so will result in an additional cleaning fee
Pets
Strawberry Haus welcomes your fur babies! We hope they have an enjoyable stay too! A basket of essentials (food/water bowl and rubber mat, snacks, tie-outs, etc.) is located in the pantry and is labeled for easy identification. If you have more than one dog, please contact us prior to arrival. Sorry, but cats are not permitted. We prefer your pet sleeps in their own bed (or one we’ve provided), but if they favor the sofa and human bed over a pet bed, please use the extra blankets and sheets located in the lower-level closet to cover the furniture and bedding. This will minimize shedding on the furniture and speed up our cleaning process. Please clean up after your pets for the consideration of future guests.
Partying
We understand every gathering of friends or family is a celebration, but parties that welcome unauthorized guests are not permitted. Please be thoughtful of our community and the neighbors that surround you.
Noise
Please respect the serenity of this little slice of heaven. Support us in noise prevention between the hours of 10:00 pm and 7:00 am to allow for our neighbor’s tranquility. Violations of this policy may subject you to penalties.
Dirty Shoes
Whenever possible, please remove shoes upon entering the property. Shoes that may be laced with mud should be removed prior to entering. Please leave them on the front porch until they can be properly attended to.
Spa and Bath Towels
Do not use white bath towels at the hot tub. Blue and white striped towels are available for your use in the lower-level bathroom. When at all possible, please conserve towels for your future use.
Hot Tub Rules
Do not take glass kitchen items into the hot tub. Broken glass in and around the spa is dangerous. Disposable cups, travel mugs, and plastic bowls/plates have been provided for your use in the event you’d like to enjoy a snack during your soak. Please do not drop food into the hot tub. Doing so will seriously impede the spa’s performance and will detract from future guests’ enjoyment. Do NOT bring towels into the hot tub. Please use the hooks located on the wood pillars to hang your robe and towels
Fireplace
The fireplace is thermostatically controlled to a predetermined temperature. If you wish to enjoy the fireplace on a chilly night, please do so by switching the unit to “on” at the control box to the right of the fireplace. DO NOT TOUCH THE GLASS of the fireplace when in operation. It is hot and WILL burn you. The fireplace will warm the room up very quickly so feel free to turn off the flames when you’ve hit your sweet comfort spot!
Watercraft and Accessories
We have provided several kyaks and a peddle boat for your use at the dock. The peddle boat has a ladder and a deck and makes for a great swim platform to take into the middle of the lake! Please return the cover after use. Personal flotation devices, paddles, and an assortment of beach toys are available in the shed at the base of the retaining wall. Please ensure that you return these items at the end of each use.
Boat Dock
You are welcome to bring your personal watercraft to Strawberry Haus. A public dock is available for your launch, although there is no ramp. Direct launch access is not available on our property. Renters take full responsibility of any damages incurred in the docking vessels on our dock. Please ensure the watercraft is secured to the pylons provided and that fenders protect both the dock and the watercraft.
Wildlife
Wildlife abounds on Pretty Lake. Please protect our loon population by avoiding any nesting locations if observed. Be very cautious while driving during dawn and dusk as deer are prevalent around the marshes surrounding the lake and they can easily become an unintended road obstacle.
